1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using MILAN, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Your account

You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. MILAN gives you a Decentralized Identifier (DID) and a Decentralized Web Node (DWN); the identity and the content stored in it are associated with you.

3. Your content

You own the content you create on MILAN. You're responsible for what you publish or share. By making content public or sharing it with a DID, you grant the recipients the ability to view it according to the access level you set.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MILAN to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, hateful or abusive content.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate or violate the privacy of others.
• Distribute malware, spam, or attempt to break or overload the service.
• Infringe intellectual property or other rights.

5. Intellectual property

The MILAN name, logo, design, code and all original content on this website (including guides such as the decentralized social media knowledge hub) are the intellectual property of MILAN / Nitesh Pandey unless otherwise stated. You must not republish, sell, rent, sub-license or reproduce our material for commercial purposes without written permission. You may quote short excerpts with a link back to the source page. Your own content remains yours (see section 3).

6. Moderation

To keep the community safe, MILAN may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

7. Service status

MILAN is an evolving product. Features, storage and availability may change as the platform develops. We work to keep the service reliable but provide it "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MILAN, its founder, and anyone working on the platform are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the service. You use MILAN at your own discretion and risk.

9. Termination

You may stop using MILAN and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as MILAN grows. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
